The Reboot Function

The Reboot Function

This function allows you to set the Grub menu selection for the next boot only.

The default menu selection will return to normal after the next boot.

The command may be entered from a command prompt or a .bat script.

You  need to know the number of the menu selection you want to use.

You can get the number by running the Grub2Win GUI and going to the Manage Boot Menu screen.

The menu selection number appears on the right of each selection.

The command format is:

  C:\grub2\grub2win    reboot    x

where x is the menu selection number.

You will receive a message that the reboot has been scheduled.

If you would like to verify the reboot, run the Grub2Win GUI and go to the Manage Boot Menu screen.

The scheduled menu selection will show as ** Grub Next Boot **  highlighted in green.

If you wish to cancel a previously scheduled reboot, use this command:

  C:\grub2\grub2win    reboot    none
